Former American Idol contestants Frenchie Davis and Syesha Mercado will perform at Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 8 as part of the venue's Summer Block Party's Celebrity Band series. Davis has appeared on stage in Rent and Ain't Misbehavin', while Mercado will play Deena Jones in the upcoming national tour of Dreamgirls.
Other upcoming acts in the series include Chase Masterson (July 18), Peter Tork (July 24), Ryan Eggold (August 15), Taryn Manning (August 22), and Alicia Witt (August 29). The Summer Block Party also includes free outdoor film screenings on Thursdays; upcoming attractions include Hotel for Dogs (July 23), The Goonies (July 30), Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (August 6), Grease (August 13), Hannah Montana: The Movie (August 20), and High School Musical 3: Senior Year |
